They’re Not Trying Very Hard

Sometimes people say that all churches are just trying to get to the same place — heaven. Well, many are not trying very hard. Since Jesus said that we must obey the Father’s will in order to go to heaven (Matthew 7:21), THOSE WHO ARE NOT OBEYING AND FOLLOWING GOD’S WORD ARE NOT TRYING VERY HARD TO GO TO HEAVEN. But don’t all churches follow the Bible? Do they? Does your church have a confession of faith, manual or written creed other than the Bible? If so, how can they claim to be following the Bible? IF YOU ASK YOUR MINISTER TO SHOW YOU THE CREED OR MANUAL OR CONFESSION THAT YOUR CHURCH FOLLOWS AND HE SHOWS YOU SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE BIBLE, GET OUT OF THAT RELIGION. Jesus said, “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Mt. 15:9). Churches that don’t seek and practice The Bible Answer are not true churches at all. Look for the church Jesus built (Mt. 16:18).

1 Peter 4:11 says, “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God.” This means it is the duty of all religions TO SPEAK WHERE THE BIBLE SPEAKS AND TO BE SILENT WHERE THE BIBLE IS SILENT. To do more or less is sin. Rev 22:18-19: “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
